Common Sense in Uncommon Times

We need common sense to prevail if we are going to remain a national party.

Unity and Diversity are not mutually exclusive.  They are parallel political ideas.

Common sense for helping the poor and the needy.

Common sense for putting other citizens needs above our own self interests.

Common sense for social safety net programs to catch us when we are falling.  

Common sense for city, state and nation challenged as every generation uniquely has.

It’s our common sense democracy and love of humanity that makes U.S. the City on the Hill.

Common sense on loving each other as we love ourselves.  If we follow that famous Golden Rule we will be a beacon for the world once again.

This is a call to all that believe.  Common sense civil service is the highest calling and lets embrace it as such.

I choose not to flowery prose or evasive language.  Because although others might have a pulpit our citizens have the Voice.

I call on all common sense Democrats, Republicans, Independents and every other political party in a common sense policy of politics.

Where common sense says we feed one another, we serve each other, we uplift each other, when one of us is knocked down we kneel to rise up with them.

We are a UNITED STATES of America, United in our beliefs of doing the right thing even if unpopular. A State because we are self governing. And America that dream that all our ancestors sought to pursue from the settlers fleeing the king of England in Holland to US back in the pilgrims era to Ellis Island to everyone else.  

We the People, as so many have proclaimed, it is we the people not fixed on any idealogy of political opinion.  But on the human condition of improving lives of those around us.

This uncommon knowledge is all to common sense for me.

Let’s bring common sense to our families, society and our nation.

Let freedom ring with like the Liberty Bell of our souls.
