The Politics of AI.
Where are we going with Artificial Intelligence? The Proponents say it will change the world for the better. And the opponents say we need to be careful opening up a Pandora’s Box of AI problems.
I do not know the answer.
Yet I know things are about to change and quickly. Rapid adoption of any technology is a tendency of American life.
There was a simpler time when for 100 years the telephone served as our means of communication.
However with adoption of technology from consumers and businesses at all levels and endorsement from the government. We are being weaned onto a technocratic society.
I would never have dreamed of this outcome in my lifetime.
Yet, here we are welcoming 2026 in and pushing the past out.
The politics of AI seems to be who controls the gates to cozy computing.
When AI PC , that’s Artificial Intelligence Personal Computers go mainstream the problems with technology and society will intersect and cause an upheaval of traditional society.
Here is some food or thought:
- Will you order food on your own free will or what AI tells you is best for you?
- Will your food order be influenced by the AI programmers that maybe partisan to one food group or fast food joint?
- What if you order nothing? What happens then?
The point is will AI be serving our lives or will we serve AI?
Just because we have AI.
Does it mean we should use it?
We have a generation that have been attached to Cellphones. And the cost is higher the price.
AI friends are replacing human contact.
This will make harder for society to be connected.
What is the solution?
I doubt know.
Then we have to consider the geopolitical and economic fallout from foreign countries racing to get AI operational.
I think we need an international group from the major players and nations affected by AI.
I know I am asking a lot of questions. The thing is I am playing catchup too.
AI is here to stay. Do we turn it on or off. That’s why we have reason and choice.
- Thank you.
